The
Idea :
I love creating mechanoid insects and always
wanted to create a mechanoid based on an
ANT. Thus came about the All
Terrain Negotiator.

Fire

Inspiration:
Tintin and Destination Moon. In some ways
at that point of time the forth coming Invasion
to Iraq also served the purpose of helping
shape the story. |

Water
|
The
story:
David v/s Goliath. The under dog taking
on the big guys. The setting of this story
is Planetoid Quari.
Spotted by the Galactic Federations (now
isn't that a nice name for United
Space-stations of Andromeda?),
the preliminary scouts and probes, the ATNs,
are sent to prospect for the rich mineral
deposits.
But our Planetoid Quari has its own resident
lil Green Man, Mad Sam, who happens to live
here all by himself along with his pet Ant,
who is both his man Friday as also his steed.
And Mad Sam definitely doesn't appreciate
the intrusion into his space. |

Earth |
Execution:
Modeled and rendered in Bryce. The
ATN (All Terrain Negotiator) is created
via booleans with a smattering of multi-replication
and terrain objects thrown in. All resemblance
to ANTS is completely intentional.
The Alien ant is an assembly of spheres
and the alien ling is made of metaballs.

As this was
posted in the forums just pre the second Iraq
war, it generated a lot of thought processes in
