Brief:
The client is a web hosting solutions provider.
The brief was to provide a sense of user friendliness
and a sense of choice to the target audience...the
potential clientele of its services. |

Comic characters, comic robot helps a-la Jetsons,
Richie Rich etc |

Strategy:
The distinctive feature of anything related to
web is the dot (of the dot com fame). Decided
to play with the dot. The character Freedo (derived
from 'freedom to choose') is somebody who pops
up from the dot, much like the help one gets in
Microsoft Word. He's a friendly bot geared to
help you choose. |

Earth |
Execution:
The Robot was created to mimic the robots
of the comics mentioned above. Not too technical,
yet a friendly, cocky guy. The circles of the
dot became the focus point. Decided to use three
different types of fonts to form the three words
of the logo. These typefaces would keep changing
to denote the range of choices.
The 'O' of options now forming a dial which would
also denote choice.
The colours of the logo was deliberately kept
bright and friendly. |
