Brief:
The client, Proteus Consultants, wanted
an illustration which lent a personality
to their name. Proteus, a minor greek God,
capable of transformation into any being
or element, is not widely known. While the
client's activity was diversified, but focussed
to Financial Services, the client wanted
a mythical representation of Proteus. |

Creative
Strategy:
The challenge of depicting Proteus was,
there's no visual representation of Proteus
available in Greek mythology. He was a god
who was capable of changing himself to any
animal, or a stream, or a tree...just about
anything.
Thus decided to depict the god in the middle
of a series of change. Its ability to change
underlining its creative potential. Decided
to keep the central figure human, but its
transformations was to denote the chief
characterestics of the corporate philosophy.
Thus evolved the depiction of Fire for inspiration,
Eagle for a higher perspective and lion
for an indomnitable spirit. |

Execution:
Created the various elements and then
married them all together in Photoshop.
However the major part of this image was
drawn in Photoshop. The only imports being
the wings and the human body. |

| Note |
Proteus was
also the etymological root for Proteins. The above
image has since been used, after permission, by
a few Univ professors in a the US, to start off
their lectures on Proteins, in some very abstruse
and stratified realms of high end protein research.
